Helio Rocha has been a financial consultant with AXA Advisors since 1997. He has concentrated his practice on employing strategies specifically tailored for high net worth international/global citizens dealing with succession planning for international families and businesses, asset protection and risk management, perpetual legacy, estate transfer, wealth accumulation, charitable planning, preservation and leverage, and succession planning for collectors of art, antiques and collectibles.

Helio holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Candido Mendes College of Law in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, majoring in Finance and Tax Planning. Helio holds Series 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations with FINRA and Health Insurance licenses. He emphasizes a teamwork approach, working with a group of professionals throughout AXA Advisors’ national network of financial professionals, to bring well-rounded advice and guidance to his clients. He also works frequently with his clients advisors including attorneys, accountants, trust officers, wealth managers/private bankers, art consultants, and representatives of family offices.

Favorable Dividend and Capital Gains Tax Rates Extended—for Now

The 2010 Tax Relief Act extended the 15% maximum tax rates on qualified dividends and long-term capital gains through December 31, 2012. But without further legislation, dividends will be taxed at ordinary income tax rates and capital gains tax rates will return to 20% (23.8% for investors in the two highest tax brackets) in 2013.
